SENIOR TEAM STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT PROGRAM

The Senior Team Strategic Alignment Program is an interactive senior team assessment and team building program to help senior management teams objectively evaluate their current functioning and to make plans as to what they need to do to move forward during these tough and uncertain economic times. This senior level program brings the senior team together to focus on the growth of the organization, its strengths and weaknesses, and objectively identify how the team is functioning. The consultant helps the team to:

  • Identify the vision of the organization
  • Clarify the current culture that has been created
  • Evaluate how the team is currently working together
  • Identify the desired culture of the organization
  • Discover the areas where the team is strong, and the areas where the team is weak and needs to improve, and
  • Set up a code of conduct that will help guide new team behaviors and directions to accomplish desired goals.

This is a very meaningful program and deals with how well the team is currently functioning in areas such as: communication, cooperation, commitment, conflict, decision-making, and developing a vision, culture, and strategy for success. This active program provides objective data to the senior team so they can focus and align themselves around what is most important. The program focuses on immediate impact and helps the team members identify action plans that they can put into use right away. Our focus is on three to six months goals, not years into the future. This is a practical program that helps make the team stronger and more confident as they move forward. If there were only one program that the senior team does together, this is it.

Audience

This is an excellent team program for the executive management team, or the senior team of a major department within an organization. It allows them to come together in an open environment to objectively focus on the issues before them. Strengths and weaknesses of the organization come out and are talked about. The program can be conducted on site at the organization's location, or at a retreat setting.

The Team Process

This program can be conducted in either a half-day or full day format. Each individual participant is sent materials to complete prior to coming to the session. Materials include the assessment of the organization's Current Culture, the Team Performance Survey, the Desired Culture, and Strategies for Success. This information is collected, prepared for distribution, and then presented at the workshop. During the workshop, the results from the assessment instruments are shared with the team in an objective and open manner. Towards the end of the program, the team develops a "Senior Team Code Of Conduct" that reflects agreement upon the ways that they will work with each other as they progress forward to achieve the results they want for the organization.

Our Consulting Fee

The fee for the Senior Team Strategic Alignment Program includes meeting with the senior team member(s) prior to the program to review the program and process, distributing and gathering all the pre-work exercises for the team, consolidating and developing reports to distribute during the team session, facilitating the workshop, and providing a summary of the program with its "next steps" and recommendations. When appropriate, a follow-up meeting with all the team members, individually or collectively, can be arranged.
